Q: I’m going on vacation and need to add water to my pool while we are gone. Any recommendations?
A: Yes, place the garden hose hanging over the edge of the pool. Leave the water on a slow trickle, faster than a drip but slower than a regular stream, just enough to make noise as it trickles into the pool. That should offset for summer evaporation. (During hot dry weather, evaporation will equal approximetly ½ inch per day or 3 ½ inches per week.)
